Curfew is not a battlefeild.

Attention Biddulph Hall Resident:

Recently we have had issues with students staying out past curfew for reasons not condoned by the church or university. If you are a part of this group please understand that even though “no one is checking” the Lord knows the intents of your heart and it is not worth selling your soul for an extra thirty minutes of play time.

If you are aware of a roommate or neighbor that is having a hard time adhering to the honor code, please talk to him directly letting him know that you are concerned for his spiritual well being. If the situation doesn’t improve, or if there is a major concern, please discuss the issue with your student living coordinator, your bishop, with me, or you can talk to the honor office directly.

The following is from a devotional given by President Clark titled The Strategies of the Enemy: “The Enemy has spread fear of getting involved when someone is in trouble. The Enemy whispers, ‘Don’t get involved; it’s not your problem. Don’t tell; you will be a tattletale.’ You don’t need to be a more “righteous-than-thou” person. We are all sinners. We all have troubles. We have all been wounded spiritually. But you who have felt the redeeming power of Christ, you who know His love and His grace, you know He can heal all wounds. If you reach out in a spirit of love and humility, you can help the spiritually wounded find the Savior. If you need to, call for the medics: talk to your bishop, call the Dean of Students, tell someone who can do something that you have a friend in trouble. Don’t be silent. Don’t leave the wounded on the battlefield!”

Do I really even need to explain how silly this is?

Holy Crap. This kinda of stuff makes me so angry. People who write stuff like this don't understand how to use gospel principles. "The Lord knows the intents of your heart and it's not worth selling your soul for an extra thirty minutes of play time". This is not the time to apply a comment like that. How can anyone take this person seriously? "let him know that you are concerned for his spiritual well being" Ti Loca

hahahahaha. I have to say that's hilarious. I mean sure, they could say it like that if they seriously thought that the reason people were staying out too late to like be alone with girls/boys at 1 in the morning, but I mean, seriously. lol.
